Foton reports 5,000 vehicles on South African roads

Foton passenger and commercial vehicle line-up

Foton South Africa reported in April 2026 that more than 5,000 of its vehicles were on local roads. The announcement reflects the brand’s reported progress across its bakkie and commercial vehicle offering.

The update pointed to the arrival of the Tunland V-Series as a further addition to the double-cab range, alongside vehicles aimed at everyday business transport.

More choice for different jobs

The product range spans passenger-carrying bakkies and commercial vehicles with different body formats. For buyers, the useful question remains which vehicle suits the work: the load, the people travelling and the routes covered.

Foton also outlined local assembly as part of its next phase in South Africa. This is national brand news; vehicle availability and delivery timing at Thorp Foton should be checked against the specific model you are considering.
